02 Apr 91. Anger & Wisdom | Live at Wills Point and Grand Saline
In our latest episode, Mackey is live at Wills Point and Grand Saline talking about the different ways to be a leader worth following.
Mackey emphasizes that to be a leader worth following, you must be slow to anger or be long tempered. Being slow to anger doesn’t mean we never get angry, being slow to anger means catching ourselves and thinking twice before we are about to blow up. We pause before to stop the storm. You have to ask, “what will my anger accomplish in this moment?” A good leader always has a purpose for what they do.
A good leader buys wisdom. Wisdom is something to be pursued. Wisdom is something to be purchased, and when you buy something, you do it with intentionality. Mackey challenges us to seek wisdom, in whatever way you believe you can, read your Bible, read a book. Continually seek out wisdom by talking with others, listening to podcasts, or reading a book.
